Combine tomatoes, onions, green peppers, celery, salt, sugar and garlic in a heavy pan. Cook
over low heat until thick, stirring often as mixture thickens (it will take several hours). Add the
vinegar and cook to desired thickness, continuing to stir often. Bottle the mixture while it is still
hot, using the hot water bath process.
