12 to 14 oz package reduced fat kielbasa, cut into chunks
2 lb. package refrigerated sauerkraut, rinsed and drained
1 tsp.. caraway seeds
3 to 4 medium red potatoes, cut into chunks
1 medium onion, sliced
pickled beets (optional)
Apple sauce (optional)
Apple juice (optional)
Instructions
In a slow cooker, place the kielbasa, sauerkraut, onion, caraway
seeds and potatoes. Add 2/3 cup of water, and cook on low for 7 to 8
hours. The Pickled beets made a nice side dish, or apple sauce.
NOTE- I suggest steaming the potatoes for a few minutes first. I
didn't think they were soft enough.
NOTE- I would substitute some apple juice for the water.
