Preheat oven to 375. Line muffin tins with parchment paper lines.
Mix dry ingredients together. Mix buttermilk egg and oil together. Stir into dry ingredients. Fold in fruit. Batter will be stiff. I did add a couple T milk to facilitate the folding in of the fruit.
Bake for 20-22 min or until toothpick in the center of muffin comes out clean. Cool on wire rack.
