Heat overn to 350
CRUST- Combine 1 3/4 C flour butter and sugar
in bowl. Beat at medium speed until mixture
resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in 1/3 C chopped
pecans and press into ungreased 13X9 baking
pan. Bake 18-22 min or until edges are golden
brown.
FILLING- combine brown sugar, 6 TB flour and salt
in large bowl; whisk until mixed. Add corn syrup,
eggs, and vanilla and mix well. Stir in 1 1/2 C
chopped pecans. Spread evenly over hot, partially
baked crust.
for aesthetics, top with pecan halves in a pattern
(optional)
Bake 30-35 min or until filling is set and knife
inserted 1 inch from edge comes out clean.
Let cool before cutting.
