Combine flour and baking powder in a bowl and set aside. Blend
together butter, sugar and salt. Add eggs one at a time. Add lemon
zest, lemon juice and vanilla. Blend together.

Blend in half the flour mixture. Add milk and mix. Add the rest of
the Flour and mix. Scrape down sides. Pour into greased cake pan,
spreading batter evenly. Tamp down to release any air pockets and to
even it out. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes.

For Glaze- combine sugar and lemon juice. Microwave for 1 minute and
mix until smooth. For Frosting- whisk confectioners sugar and lemon
juice until smooth.

|
Transfer cake from pan to plate and poke holes all around the top.
Baste the glaze all around until soaked into cake. Drizzle the
frosting on and add the zest of one lemon before it hardens.
