1 head cabbage, cut in small stripes and put into a large stock pot
|
|
1 or 2 eggs
|
|
2 # ground sirloin
|
|
Grated onion to taste, about 1/2 large
|
|
1 32 oz. bottle Heinz ketchup
|
|
1 33 oz (1 liter) bottle Schweppes ginger ale
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|

Instructions |
|
|
Add ginger ale and ketchup to cabbage.
Cover and bring to boil.
Cook 15 min.
|
|
|
Grate or finely chop onion and add to meat.
Mix well with eggs.
Form into small balls and add to sauce and cabbage
Simmer covered for 1 1/2 hours
|
|
|
Serve immediately or it's even better the next day. Can be frozen
Serve over rice for a complete meal.
