1 large head cabbage
|

1 large green pepper
|

1 large mild or sweet onion

1 cup sugar
|

1 cup white vinegar
|

1 tsp. celery seed
|

1 tsp. mustard seed

1 tsp. salt

|
3/4 cup vegetable oil

Instructions |

|
Cut and grate cabbage, dice onion and pepper. Place in large bowl and stir to mix. Pour 1/2 cup sugar over mix; DO NOT STIR.

Combine 1-2 cup sugar, vinegar, celery and mustard seeds, salt, and vegetable oil in saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat.

|
Pour over cabbage mixture. DO NOT STIR. Cover and refrigerate at least 8 hours.
|
|
|
Stir, drain, and serve. Enjoy!
