1 pound ground beef
|

2 tbsp olive oil
|

1 large onion
|

1 stalks celery
|
|
1 carrot
|
|
4 oz smoked ham
|
|
1 cup water
|
|
3-4 canned whole tomatoes
|
|
2 cloves garlic, minced
|
|
|
|
1 tsp salt
|
|
Dash black pepper
|
|
1 tsp dried thyme
|
|
1/3 cup white wind (or chicken broth)
|
|
10-12 oz spagetti or other pasta

Instructions |
|
|
Saute beef in 1 tbsp oil until meat loses its pinkness. Tranfer to a pan. Peel and chop onion. Dice celery and carrot.

Chop ham into small pieces. Saute in remaining oil with onion, celery, and carrot. Transfer to pan with the ground meat. Combine.

Add water, tomatoes, garlic, salt, pepper, and thyme. Cover. Cook for about 20 minutes. Add wine. Cook for a few more minutes.

|
Cook pasta. Drain. Serve with sauce.
