If a grill is used, place chickens skin side down on the grill. Or place them skin side up under preheated broiler. Add remaining ingredients to butter and brush over chicken. Grill or broil without turning until chickens are golden to dark brown on cooked side. Brush occasionally as they cook. When thee skin side is brown, turn and brush with sauce. Continue cooking over moderate heat while basting until chickens are done. The total cooking time should be 45 minute to an hour.
