In a large nonstick skillet, heat vegetable oil over med-high heat. Add chicken and brown on both sides then transfer to plate.
Discard all but 1 tbsp oil. Cook garlic, ginger, and green onions for 1 minute. Return chicken to pain; add broth, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Bring to a boil, cover, reduce heat, and simmer 30 minutes.
