3½ - 4 lb. first cut beef brisket
|

6-8 onions, cut up
|
|
12 oz. jar chili sauce
|
|
salt and pepper to taste
|

Instructions |

|
Brown meat on all sides in Dutch oven. Discard fat.
Add cut up onions and chili sauce. Cover tightly
|
|
|
Bake 325º oven for 2½ hours. Cool meat until able to handle for slicing, across grain
|
|
|
If prefer smooth sauce, put through strainer. Return meat to sauce and continue cooking until tender.
|
|
|
Check during cooking if sauce too thick, add small amount of water. Can cook in crock pot on low for 8-10 hours
|
