Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl that you can pour pancakes from. Stir it briskly until air bubbles appear in the mixture, and all flour lumps are gone.

Pour into a hot pan or onto a hot griddle. Cook until air bubbles appear on surface of pancake. Flip over, cook until underside is slightly browned.

|
Make the pancakes as large or small as you like. The servings will be altered the larger each pancake is made.

For an Australian twist - sprinkle sugar onto the pancake, squeeze lemon juice over the top and place a scoop of ice-cream on top.
