Preheat oven to 375. Brown pork chops in skillet. Transfer to baking dish.
In a bowl, combine applesauce, apples, onion soup mix to taste (about 1/3 of packet) -black pepper to taste. Pour over chops and sprinkle with brown sugar.
Bake 30 minutes.

Next time I am going to carmelize the onions myself and not use mix--will have to add salt
