In large skillet, melt butter over medium heat; add garlic, and cook 1 minute. Add mushrooms, and cook 4 to 5 minutes or until all liquid evaporates. Add green onions and cook 2 minutes. Stir in soy sauce, sesame oil, salt and pepper. Stir in shrimp and cook just until pink. Spoon 2 t. shrimp mixture onto center of each wonton wrapper. Moisten wrapper edges with water; bring corners together, pressing edges to seal. In large kettle, pour oil to a depth of 6 inches; heat to 350. Fry wontons in batches, 2 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Serve warm.
