In mixing bowl, combine sugar, flour, baking powder, and egg whites. Mix until
thoroughly blended and smooth. Add Walnuts and cherries and mix well.
Drop batter by teaspoonfuls onto a greased parchment paper lined cookie sheet,
leaving two inches between cookies to allow for spreading.
Make sure the parchment paper is well greased as these cookies like to stick.
Bake at 325 F for 12 to 15 min. Until the cookies begin to brown around the edges. Let
stand for a few minutes before removing from the baking sheet. They'll be soft at first,
but firm up when cool.
