In greased 2 quart casserole, arrange a thin layer of potatoes in 3 layer, sprinklin each of the first 3 layer with 1 tablespoon onion,1 tablespoon flour,1/4 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp pepper 1/3 cup cheese and 1 tablespoon butter dotted on top. Sprinkly top with reamining onion, salt pepper, cheese and dot with remaining butter.
