Soak bread slices in clam juice. Mix together all ingredients. Shape into a loaf in a 13x9 in. pan and bake in a 375F oven for 45 min to an hour.
For gravy, mix together sliced mushrooms, including the liquid with the cream of mushroom soup. Pour mixture over loaf the last 15 minutes and continue baking, basting often.
