Combine fruit, raisins, and wine. Cover and let stand at room temperature overnight.
Sift together flour, soda, and spice onto waxed paper.
Beat butter, sugar, and eggs until fluffy. Stir in flour and fruit mixtures. Spread batter into greased and floured jelly roll pan (15x10x1).
Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. Cool on rack; cut into bars. Decorate as wrapped gifts with decorator icing.
