14 cups of old fashioned oats (not quick cooking)

2 cups of wheat germ
|
|
2 cups sweetened coconut
|
|
1 and 1/2 cups brown sugar
|

1 cup sesame seeds
|
|
1 cup raw sunflower seeds
|
|
1 cup water
|
|
1 teaspoon vanilla
|
|
|
|
1 cup oil (safflo is best)
|
|
1 teaspoon salt
|
|
2 cups of raisins or almonds (optional)

Instructions |

|
Preheat oven 325.
In a large roasting pan combine; oats, wheat germ, coconut, brown sugar, sesame seeds and sunflower seeds, almonds if raw.

In a bowl combine water, vanilla, oil and salt.
Pour over oat mixture until well blended and coated.
|
|
|
Bake for an hour and a half, stir occsaionally (every 30 mins) add roasted almonds or raisins in the last half and hr of cooking.
