Cream butter until light and gradually cream in powdered sugar. Beat in eggs and continue beauting until light and fluffy.

Drain the pineapple thoroughly. Whip the cream, sweeten to taste and add a little vailla.

Crush the vanilla wafers into fine crumbs. Cover bottom of baking pan (9x 13 or longer) with half of wafer crumbs. Spread creamed mixture over the crumbs. Spoon drained pineapple over creamed mixture and spread the whipped cream over the pineapple Put remaining crumbs in the layer over the top.

Refrigerate overnight. (This dessert needs this time to mellow.) It holds up well for a couple fo days. Excellent for entertaining.
