1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, room temperature
2 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
4 eggs
3/4 cup buttermilk
Instructions
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt. Cream butter
and sugar in separate bowl and add eggs one at a
time, beating until each in fully incorporated. Add
flour mixture in three batches, alternating with two
additions of buttermilk.
Bake about 25 minutes.
Frost with Bailey's frosting (in my cookbook)
