Preheat oven to 350. Melt 1/2 c morsels over hot, not boiling water. Stir until smooth. Set aside. In bowl mix dry ingrdients. In another bowl, Beat sugar and butter until creamy. Blend in peanut butter morsels, add eggs and vanilla and beat well. Alternately add flour and milk. Pour into 2 greased and floured 8 inch cake pans. Bake until crust is golden brown, about 35-40 minutes. Cool in pans 10 minutes, and cool completely.
