Crush pretzels. Mix together pretzels, 1/2 cup
sugar and butter. Bake at 350 degrees for 10
minutes in a 9 x 13 inch pan. Beat together Cool
Whip, cream cheese and 1 cup sugar. Spread on
cooled crust. Add boiling water into Jello. When
Jello is thoroughly mixed, add fruit (if desired).
Place Jello in refrigerator until partially set.
Place on top of salad. Refrigerate covered.
