Pound steaks on both sides with a mallet until 1/4
inch thin. Season with garlic, lime juice, salt and
pepper, and allow to marinate in the refrigerator at
least 1 hour.
Remove steaks from marinade and pat dry. In a large
frying pan, heat olive oil over medium heat until
very hot. Brown steaks for 2-3 minutes on each side.
Transfer steaks to a serving platter and keep warm.
Add the marinade and onion to the pan and cook until
the onion is slightly soft, 3-4 minutes. Garnish
steaks with onion and parsley.

Serve with black beans and rice, sweet plantains, and warm Cuban bread with lots of butter.
