1/4 c butter, margarine or olive oil
|

4-6 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
|

1 medium onion sliced
|

1 small garlic clove, minced
|
|
2 Tbsp flour
|

1/2 tsp salt
|
|
1/4 tsp ground pepper
|
|
1/4 tsp dried basil
|
|
1/4 tsp dried thyme
|
|
|

1 stalk celery, small sliced
|
|
2 chicken bouillon cubes
|
|
1 cup hot water
|
|
1-2 cans (20 oz) small whole cooked potatoes
|

1/2 green pepper, course chop
|

Instructions |

|
In hot butter or olive oil, saute chicken breasts on both sides till well browned. Add onion, celery, green pepper and garlic and cook 5 minutes.

In small bowl combine the flour, salt, pepper, basil, thyme and bouillon cubes to dissolve. Pour over the the browned chicken.
|
|
|
Cook slowly, covered, 25-30 minutes until chicken is tender.
|
|
|
Add potatoes. Heat to serving temperature and serve from the skillet.
