1/2 lemon, peeled, seeded, and most membranes removed
1 blood orange, peeled
1 inch piece fresh gingerroot
2 garlilc cloves
1 small onion, chopped
2 Tbsp soy sauce
2 Tbsp rice wine or dry sherry
1/2 tsp Chinese 5 spice powder
2 Tbsp honey
1 Tbsp sesame oil
freshly ground pepper
Instructions
preheat oven to 350. place ribs in a wide roasting pan, cover loosely with foil and cook in the oven for 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, peel and remove any seeds from lemon and orange and place them in a food processor with the ginger, garlic, onion, soy sauce, rice wine, 5 spice powder, honey, sesame oil and freshly ground pepper. process until smooth.
Increase the oven temp to 400. Pour off any fat from the ribs, then spoon the pureed mixture over the ribs and toss to coat evenly.
Return the ribs to the oven and roast for 40 minutes. turning and basting them occasionally, until golden brown.
