Preheat- 450 degrees. Put rack low in oven. Place pie crust on baking sheet.

Topping- mix flour, sugars, & cinnamon in bowl. Cut in butter (pastry blender works well) until mixture forms, moist, coarse crumbs that clump together.

|
Filling- Peel, halve, and core apples and slice into 1/8 inch slices. Place in large bowl, add lemon juice and toss to coat. Sprinkle in remaining ingredients and toss to coat.

|
Layer apples in pie crust, higher in middle and pat topping on to form crust. Put pie on baking sheet and bake 15 minutes at 450 degrees then 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Cover with foil if topping starts to brown too quickly.
