2 celery ribs - chopped

1 medium onion, chopped

1 okra, chopped
|

1 medium carrot, chopped

1 medium green pepper, chopped

2 Tbsp olive oil

1/4 cup all-purpose flour
|
|
1 cup chicken broth
|
|
1 lb smoked kielbasa with jalepenos or Polish sausage cut into 1/2-inch pieces
|

1 can (14-1/2 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained
|
|
2 tsp. dried oregano
|
|
2 tsp. dried thyme
|
|
1/4 cup sliced jalapenos
|

Instructions |

|
In a large skillet, saute the celery, onion, okra, carrot, and green pepper in oil until tender.
|

Stir in flour until blended, gradually add broth. Bring to a boil. Cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened.
|
|
|
Transfer to a 3-quart slow cooker. Stir in teh sausage, tomatoes, oregano, thyme and jalapenos.
|
|
|
Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or until heated through.
