Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Marinate drumsticks in a mixture of smashed garlic, chili powder, brown sugar, salt, beer and melted butter,in frig for about an hour.
Microwave potatoes for 5 minutes or until just tender. Slice them in 1-inch slices and drizzle both sides with oil.
Place everything on the grill. Cook the potatoes 3 minutes per side or until golden and crisp. Cook the chicken, brushing with the marinade for about 20 minutes and serve with lime wedges. When the drumsticks start to char, move them to the sides of the grill to finish.

Serve with a cold tossed salad, a crisp roll and a cold drink, as well.
