2 28 oz. cans of Furmano's Chunky Crushed Tomatoes with Basil, Garlic, and Oregano
4 8 oz. cans of Tomato Sauce
Black Pepper
Oregano
Parsley
Basil
Red Pepper Flakes
Sugar
Baking Soda
Instructions
Coat bottom of pot with Olive Oil and insert chopped onions and mince garlic. Saute the onions and garlic in the oil (be sure they don't burn!)
Add the 2 28 oz cans of Furmano's Crushed Tomatoes and the 4 8 oz cans of Tomato Sauce (There are 2 8 oz cans of Tomato Sauce for every 28 oz can of Crushed Tomatoes). Fill up one of the 28 oz cans with water and add it in the pot.
Add black pepper, oregano, parsley, and basil to the sauce. Then, add a dash of red pepper flakes and a teaspoon or 2 of sugar. Mix it up and bring to a boil.
Once boiling, add a pinch of baking soda and put stove on low. Allow the sauce to simmer for an hour.
