Beat sugar and shortening at medium speed with electric mixer till creamy. Add pumpkin, egg and vanilla, beating until blended , set aside.
combine flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon in a small bowl. Gradually ad to shortening mixture, beating well. Fold in chocolate chips.
Drop by tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheet. bake at 350 degrees 15-20 min. or until golden brown. Remove to wire rack and cool. Drizzel with Frosting.
Frosting- Combine 1/2 c packed brown sugar , 3 Tbsp. butter & 3 Tbsp. milk in a saucepan. Bring mixture to a boilover medium heat , 2 min. Remove from heat Add 1 1/2 c. powdered sugarBeat at medium speed with an electric mixer, until mixture is smooth.
