In sauce pan, dissolve sugar and ginger in broth and soya sauce, bring to a boil.
Mix cornstarch with sherry and add to sauce. Reduce heat and simmer until sauce thickens. Cool.
Brush oil over chicken breasts. Grill over medium heat for 8 minutes per side. Brush frequently with sauce while cooking. Brush one final time and serve.
