1 1/2 lbs cubed meat

2 tbsp shortening
|
|
3 cup celery, chopped
|

2 cup onions, chopped
|

1 3/4 cup water, drained fro mushrooms and sprouts
|

1 (8 oz) can mushrooms
|
|
1 can bean sprouts
|
|
1 tsp salt
|
|
4 tbsp flour
|
|
|
|
3 tbsp soy sauce
|
|
3 tbsp water
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|

Instructions |
|
|
Brown meat in shortening (don't flour meat). Add celery, onions and water; cover. When steaming point is reached, reduce heat. Simmer 25 minutes.

Add mushrooms, sprouts and salt. Make thickening of water, flour and soy sauce; add to mixture.
|
|
|
Cook over high heat until thickened, about 5 minutes. Serve over rice or chow mein noodles.
