Melt the butter chunks in micorwave and set aside for the moment.
Preheat oven to 375 adn put paper liners in muffin tins. (makes 12). In a medium mixing bowl, combine flour, 1/2 cup sugar, baking powder and salt. Mix with table fork.
In a small medium mixing bowl, combine milk, egg and vanilla. Beat until well blended. Add milk mixture, melted butter and blueberries into flour mixture. Stir gently until all ingredient are blended. Spoon into cups and sprinkle with extra sugar over tops of muffins.
Bake 18-20 mins until golden brown.
