Beat eggs and sugar on high speed until very stiff. Add vanilla. Set mixture aside. Crush ritz crackers with rolling pin. Mix with sugar and nuts.
Fold mixtures together and spoon into a greased and floured 9inch pie pan. Cook in a preheated 350 degrees oven for 25 minutes. (DO NOT OPEN OVEN DURING COOKING.) Pie will fall, so fill cavity with whipped topping after pie cools.
