In mixing bowl, cream the butter and brown sugar. Beat in egg, sour cream and vanilla, mix well.
Combine dry ingredients, add to creamed mixture and mix well. Fold in cashews.
Drop by rounded tsp. fulls onto greased baking sheets. Bake at 375 for 8-10 minutes, cool.
For frosting, lightly brown butter in small sauce pan. Remove from heat, add cream and vanilla. Beat in sugar until smooth and thick. Frost cooled cookies, top with cashew.
