at least 1 hr before grilling, soak wood chips in enough water to cover. in a small bowl, combine chili powder and salt; sprinkly evenly onto ribs. Tear off 4 large pices of heavy foil; fold each in half to make a double thickness. wrap ea slab of ribs in a double thickness of heavy foil. place wrapped ribs on thegrill rack directly over med heat; cover and grill for 50 min. turning once. unwrap; discard juices. drain wood chips. if necessary, add coals to rturn to med heat. sprinkly drained wood chips over the coals place ribs on grill rack directly over med hea.brush ribs w/ vidalia onion sauce. cover and grill 10 min.

in a med saucepan, melt butter over med low heat. add onion;cover and cook for 13-15 min or until onion is tendre, stirring occassionally. unciover; cook and stir over med high heat for 3-5 min. add garlic; cook and stir for 30 sec more. stir in peach spreadable fruit, chili sauce, mustard, vinegar, molasses, and worcestershire sauce. bring to boiling; reduce heat. simmer uncoverd about 20min or until sauce reaches desired consistency, stirring frequently. cover and store in frig
