Put oil in a pressure cooker; fry two medium sized onions, sliced
till golden brown. Add one tbsp of ginger / garlic paste, one tbsp
of tomato paste, the spice mix, haldi powder.
Fry for half a minute. Add two chopped tomatoes and fry till all
liquid has evaporated.
Cut beef (1.5 lbs) into one inch sized cubes and add to the
cooker. I prefer to use chuck beef. Fry.
Add approximately half cup of freshly chopped coriander leaves (and
mint if available). Add ¾ cup of water and pressure cook for 8
minutes.
Add potatoes if you like. Thicken the gravy according to desired
thickness by cooking on high flame.
