Preheat oven to 365 degrees. Place butter in microwave safe bowl and melt in microwave. In a large bowl, combine soup, sour cream, cream cheese, salt, and pepper. Mix well. Add shredded cheese, hashbrowns, and butter.
Spread into 9x13 glass baking pan and pour crushed wheaties or breadcrumbs on top of pan.
Bake for an hour or until potatoes are soft and top is crispy.
