1/2 cup chopped onion (optional)

2 medium cloves garlic - minced
|

1 pound ground beef
|

3 Tbsp parsley
|
|
1 Tbsp Basil leaves
|

1 Tsp salt
|
|
1 Tsp pepper
|

1 - 8 oz tomato sauce
|
|
|

1 - 6 1/2 oz tomato paste
|
|
1 pound lasagna noodles
|
|
1 pound mozzarella cheese
|
|
1 1/2 cup cottage cheese
|
|
1 - 2 1/2 oz jar grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions |

|
Heat oil, add onion & garlic - cook 1 minute. Add beef & brown. Stir in parsley, basil, salt, pepper, tomato sauce & tomato paste. Cover & simmer 40 minutes.

Meanwhile, cook lasagna noodles & rinse with cold water & separate.
|
|
|
Heat oven to 350 degrees.
|
|
|
Arrange noodles in layers in a 13x9x2 pan alternating with meat sauce, mozzarella cheese, cottage cheese, & top with Parmesan cheese. Bake 20 minutes.
