32 oz Chicken Broth
|

48 oz Great Northern Beans
|

4-6 oz chopped green chilis
|

2 cups cubed or shredded cooked chicken
|

1 chopped onion
|
|
4 - 5 cloves of crushed or minced garlic
|
|
1 t cayenne pepper
|
|
1 t oregano
|
|
1 T cumin
|
|
|
|
1 c grated monterey jack cheese
|
|
1/2 c chopped chives or green onions
|
|
sour cream
|
|
freshly fried tortilla strips
|

|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|

Instructions |
|
|
In a large stock pot, saute onion and garlic in 1/4 broth until
translucent. Then add spices and simmer for a couple more
minutes.

Add Chicken, green chilis and remaining broth.
|
|
|
Simmer for 30 minutes or more until flavors blend
|
|
|
