Beat milk, melted butter,flour and salt just until smooth,mix in one egg at a time,but do no overbeat.Batter should be no heavier than whipping cream
Butter and flour deep muffin pan or popover pan and fill them no more than 3/4 full.Bake immediatwly in a pree-heated 450 degree oven.After 15 minutes lower heat to 350 degrees. Do not open the oven.Continue to bake for 20 minutes
Test one popover for doneness by removing it and checking to see if the sidewalls are firm.If popovers aren't cooked long enough they'll collapse
