Preheat oven to 375°. In a sauce pan melt 2 c. chocolate over low heat, set aside. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in small bowl, set aside.
In a large mixer, beat butter, sugars, and vanilla until well blended. Beat in eggs until light and fluffy. Blend in melted chocolate. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Fold in remaining chocolate.
Drop by rounded Tbspfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake 8-9 minutes until cookies are puffed. Let stand 5 minutes. Remove from cookie sheets and cool on racks
